The annual Washington Wedding Salon Bridal Show is one of the most premiere wedding vendor tradeshows in the DC Metro region.  It was held this past Monday, September 10th in downtown DC at the Madison Hotel and DC Photobooth was lucky enough to attend!

The Wedding Salon did a great job.  This was, by far, one of the more beautiful and well decorated bridal events we have ever been to.  Several luxury wedding vendors were in attendance, and brought elaborate set ups to show off their products to the brides and their friends and family.  It was quite a sight.

We were in a great spot during the event and were able to show off our photobooth really well.  And the guests were loving it!

We had a blast hanging out with other vendors and getting to meet so many excited brides and their friends and family.  They really had a great time trying out our photobooth and checking our some of our example designs and scrapbook packages.

Immediately we were blown away by her friendly, outgoing personality.  She worked very well with the bride and groom and their guests to get beautiful shots, both posed and candid.  Laura sees photography as an expressive art form, about which she is extremely passionate, and it shows through her work.  Be sure to check out her awesome website and her wedding portfolio.  She is definitely one of the best freelance photographers in the area.

DC Photobooth was lucky enough to be invited by Jackie and Gordon to celebrate their marriage this past Saturday.  After a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, Jackie and Gordon along with their friends and family returned to the beautiful Kentlands Mansion in a quiet area of Gaithersburg, Maryland (about an hour from Baltimore, Maryland) for an evening of dancing, cake eating, and photobooth fun!  We had a fantastic time hanging out with everyone, and they all seemed to really enjoy the photobooth!  We met some great people, including an awesome photographer, and saw some new photobooth challenges!

We mentioned before that we met an awesome photographer.  Her name is Laura Kuah and she runs Laurentina Photography.  She knew the Jackie, the bride, from elementary school and the 2 have kept in contact ever since!  Laura was amazing at Jackie and Gordon’s wedding on Saturday (see her blog post).  She was everything you could want from a wedding photographer: very professional while being extremely fun!  Plus, her shots were amazing from the event.  We would highly recommend Laurentina Photography for a wedding or any other event where you want a fun, talented photographer.

WeddingWire, the leading technology company in the wedding industry, held their inaugural WeddingWire World conference at the Kennedy Center this past Monday, July 23rd. The company is designed to help local and national wedding vendors better market themselves to engaged couples during their wedding planning. They have an array of invaluable tools for engaged couples to help in every facet of their wedding planning, and provide a suite of organizational material to wedding vendors to help them gain exposure and run their business.

WeddingWire World, open exclusively to WeddingWire members, was an entire day full of guest speakers, education, networking and fun aimed at educating wedding professionals on how to grow their business. DC Photobooth was lucky enough to provide our photobooth for the day to make the event more memorable to its guests. We met several fellow wedding professionals and had a great time.

We had a great time at WeddingWire World and we hope we made the event more memorable for the WeddingWire employees and the guests at the conference!

DC Photobooth had the incredible opportunity to be a part of a fundraiser for the Antoine Bethea Safe Coverage Foundation, a charity organization founded by Indianapolis Colts free safety Antoine Bethea to help students reach their dreams of obtaining higher education.  The program hopes to build a connection between inner city high school students and local universities by organizing campus tours and meetings with college professors and faculty, and providing lap tops or iPads to in need students.  We were very thankful to be invited and to be given the opportunity to help the organization succeed.

The fundraiser was this past Thursday, June 21st.  It was held at the beautiful B. Smith Restaurant in Union Station.  The Safe Coverage Foundation rented out the main dining area of the restaurant and held a silent auction of signed sports, music and movie memorabilia to raise funds for the foundation.  We made some individual bids while we were there and ended up winning!

These two were so cute, and loved the photobooth so much that they tried it out twice!

DC Photobooth was so honored to be invited to this fundraiser. We were more than happy to offer our services to help make the event a success. Plus we won some great memorabilia!

We met some great people and had an awesome time at Colleen and Ryan’s wedding. Congratulations to you both and we wish you a happy honeymoon and a beautiful life together. Thanks again for the invite!

DC Photobooth was honored to bring our photobooth to the wedding of Tai and Becci Truong this past Saturday, March 24th.  We had a great time sharing their special day and loved celebrating with their family and friends.  We were happy to make the event more memorable for them.
